On Wednesday, March 7th the All Stars Project kicked off the campaign for our National Gala at Lincoln Center with a reception hosted by real estate management firm CBRE. This year's gala at the David Koch Theatre will honor Gregory A. Tosko, Vice Chairman of the CBRE Tri-State Region, and Bart M. Schwartz, Esq., Chairman of Guidepost Solutions, and their commitment to building the quality afterschool programs of the All Stars Project. The All Stars Project will also announce the creation of the Scott Flamm Center for Afterschool Development, which the organization will open in Newark at the end of the year.

"When I think about our gala honorees, Greg and Bart, I couldn't think of a more fitting title for our May 7th benefit than Big Builders for Young People. Both of them go out of their way every day to help children growing up in this city who struggling in the face of poverty, under-performing schools, and violence. Thanks to Greg and Bart, the All Stars Project is going to reach thousands of young people this year and give them hope and opportunity," says All Stars Project President & CEO, Gabrielle L. Kurlander.

Mary Ann Tighe, CEO of the CBRE New York Tri-State Region, headlined this launch of Greg Tosko's campaign for the celebration of his 15-year support of the All Stars Project's young people. 50 CBRE professionals, All Stars young people and leaders joined Tosko and Tighe at the kick-off event.

Thanks to leadership involvement from Greg, CBRE has been a sponsor of the All Stars Project since 2005. Dozens of members of the firm have been supporters, and have also volunteered their time. CBRE SVP Dan Knopf serves as a Trustee for the Development School for Youth, and along with Chairman of Global Brokerage Steve Siegel, has created unique experiences for All Stars youth over the years. In addition to championing All Stars at CBRE, Greg serves on the All Stars Project's Board of Directors and plays a key role in our Finance and Audit Committee. He has advised the All Stars on real estate matters, hosted workshops for young people, and has been a personal champion of our work.
