All Stars Project of Chicago's Final Talent Show of 2011

The All Stars Project of Chicago hosted its final talent show of 2011 at Harper High School in the Englewood neighborhood on Saturday, December 10. Eighty-Eight enthusiastic performers from all over Chicago and from cities in neighboring Indiana came out for a special One Day Event which includes; an audition, a performance workshop and the talent show! The show opened with a dynamic performance by the World Performance Team, an elementary school drill team and continued with dance, rap, and vocal acts.  The performers, diverse in style contributed to the excitement of the day.

All Stars donors and their families also came out to see the show through our Back to School program and presented ten youth volunteers and performer with All Stars Community Spirit Awards. The awardees are young people who are making a difference by helping the All Stars Project of Chicago grow in communities throughout the city.

"It was really great for the young people and their parents and families to see the people who are behind the All Stars and who make it possible for us to have these shows in the community. We created a convergence of poor youth and their families and successful and affluent professionals at Harper High School. Each time our donors come out it is an inspiration to the entire community and helps people see that we have a plan, we have committed supporters and we are here to stay." says All Stars Project of Chicago Director, David Cherry.
