Atlanta All Stars Continues to Sink Its Roots in the Peachtree State

A grouping of winners from the All Stars’ November 6th “One Day Performance Event” at Butler Street Community Center in Atlanta.

The Atlanta All Stars held a very successful one-day performance event, Saturday, November 6, at the Butler Street Community Center. Eighty audience members were thoroughly entertained and excited by the energetic performances of the young singers, dancers and rappers on stage that day.   Many new volunteers also stepped forward to lead performance workshops and take responsibility for developing the young people participating in the one-day event. The new volunteers are going to be part of a core team that will help the All Stars continue to expand its presence in Metro Atlanta next year!

All Stars volunteer, Robin Fields, leads a performance workshop before the Nov. 6th show.

On December 5, Atlanta All Stars hosted its first ever “Celebration and Silent Auction.”  $2400 was raised and two young groups of All Stars performers entertained the eighty friends and supporters in attendance. Many wonderful items were auctioned off including several pieces of original art by well-known local folk artists; a hand painted shower curtain; dinners from several area restaurants; classic Italian lighting from Illuminations, services from a number of health professionals, etc.
