| The 2005-2006
Theatre for the Whole City
season got off to a strong start with over 2,000 people attending
the Newman-Roboff classic Sally and Tom (The American Way)
and another 600 attending performances of the Youth Onstage!
experimental theatre workshop production, Our City.
Though produced twice before, Sally and Tom

All Stars Talent Show Network is a hit in the Bronx! |

The 2005-06
fall/winter season's first All Stars Talent Show Network (ASTSN)
show was held Saturday, December 3 at Evander Childs High School
in the Bronx. Highlighted by energetic and creative dance, rap,
step and vocal performances, the event also featured the presentation
of a special Volunteer Achievement Award to long-time ASTSN
adult volunteer, Denise Roberson, for her years of dedication

Ten unsung adult
heroes were honored at the All Stars Project’s eleventh annual
Phyllis Hyman Phat Friend Awardsdinner, Tuesday October
11 at the Puck Building in lower Manhattan. The Phat Friend
Awards benefit the youth programs of the non-profit All
Stars Project, Inc. (ASP). Three hundred guests, including Wall
Street executives, youth hosts and performers, volunteers, supporters

Inspired by
Our Town, Thorton Wilder’s classic stage work about turn-of-the-century
America, Youth
Onstage! (YO!), the youth theatre of the All
Stars Project, created an experimental theatre workshop production
called Our City, about life in New York City at the dawn
of the 21st Century. Our City opened Friday, November
11, 2005 and closed December 4, at the All Stars Project’s performing
arts and education center...

All Stars in New Jersey has a record year |

On Wednesday,
November 2, the All Stars Project in New Jersey held its Fourth
Annual Phat Friend Awards. At the event, Newark youth leaders
honored nine adults for their contributions to youth development.
Among the honorees were Veronice Horne, Pastor, Holy Hands Worship
Center; Msgr. Paul Schetelick, Associate Pastor, St. Andrews
Catholic Church; 30 year Newark educator Nathaniel Potts; Donna

Bay Area All Stars Talent Show Network has 'em dancin' in the
aisles! |
| On November
19, 2005, the Bay Area All Stars Talent Show Network (ASTSN)
held its eighth talent show cycle -- at the Oakland Asian
Cultural Center in Oakland’s Chinatown. Sixteen acts and twenty-nine
performers created a spirited show before a packed house.
The Grand Prize was shared by the dance troupe Marley
and 12-year old rapper, Godson. The Bay
Area Center for Independent Culture (BACIC), an independently-funded
San Francisco Bay Area non-profit, produces the All Stars
Talent Show Network (ASTSN) youth development program...

All Stars: Makin' Strides! |

On
Monday, October 10, the Atlanta All Stars (AAS) held its first
ever gala benefit. Hosted by young people and adult volunteers,
the gala honored two AAS volunteers and donors. In addition,
several supporters made a commitment to build the AAS Partnership
Circle, by pledging to donate $1000 or more per year. On
