This summer, 88 graduates from the Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 classes of the Development School for Youth (DSY) successfully completed internships at 37 sponsoring companies throughout New York City. While the internships officially concluded on August 30, on Wednesday, August 16, an internship reception was held at the All Stars center on 42nd Street to recognize the sponsoring companies and the supervisors who worked with DSY interns this summer.

A total of 115 people, interns and company representatives alike, attended the event and 20 companies were represented. At the reception, Eridania Perez of the law firm, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP, was honored as the Supervisor of the Year for her dedication and championing of the program within her firm, and MetLife was honored as the Company Sponsor of the Year for its continued support of the DSY.

The week of September 10 marked the beginning of the DSY's Fall 2006 semester with new students attending their first class meetings and pre-orientation workshop. The semester began on Tuesday, September 26 with Ann Taylor hosting the Fall 2006 orientation.
