Atlanta is hopping with all kinds of All Stars happenings!
The second annual Atlanta All Stars Dinner Benefit, "Honoring the Stars at Our Core," was held on November 13 and honored three of the All Stars' special friends. Six youth hosts mingled, taught, emceed and performed at the event, which raised nearly $11,000, a 33% increase over last year.
On December 15, Atlanta All Stars will create a "One Day Open-Mic Show and Rappin' Reality Workshop" at the "Street Smart" youth program. The event will be hosted by veteran All Star volunteer, Nichelle "BrownEyes" Brown along with youth performer and volunteer, Philip "Mastamind" Spralling. The event is being designed to reach the young people of the Vine City neighborhood, one of the most underserved communities in metro Atlanta.

The next All Stars Talent Show series is scheduled to take place in April in Jonesboro, in Clayton County. Several community residents, who are also All Stars volunteers and supporters, were eager to introduce the talent show network to the youth of Jonesboro. .
Have You Ever Seen a Dream Rapping? a collage of spoken word, original songs, raps and dances, will be performed by a group of fifteen All Stars youth at Eyedrum on Friday, February 2, 2007. The youth in the production will explore the question “Are you Still Dreaming of a Better World?” inspired by Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream’” speech.
