Led by program director David Cherry, the Chicago All Stars was officially launched on March 24, 2007 with an All Stars talent show at Bogan High School on the South Side. Cherry brings expert knowledge of the social issues that confront inner-city youth and 20 years of experience in grassroots organizing in diverse communities across America; he is committed to establishing a vibrant community of growth and development for Chicago’s inner-city youth.
Partnering with him are 35 members of Chicago’s business community who are investing generously to bring the All Stars — and growth and development — to young people who need it the most.
