Atlanta All Stars: Four Years of Youth Development

Dancers at a 2006 Atlanta talent show.

The Atlanta All Stars, an independent community organization, was launched in June 2003 to reach young people in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.  Under the leadership of Executive Director, Murray Dabby, All Stars veteran Nichelle “Browneyes” Brown, and a team of dedicated volunteers, Atlanta All Stars has to date produced six talent shows, a theatre performance of Have You Ever Seen A Dream Rappin’?, a performance/art gallery benefit called “Censor Me!”, ten community “Rappin’ Reality” open mic events, and other special events since its founding. Over 860 young people and 200 volunteers have taken part in Atlanta All Stars events with a combined audience of several thousand people. In the near future, Atlanta All Stars hopes to establish a permanent performing arts and education center. The next audition and talent show will be held in early June at the Performing Arts Center of Clayton County.  For more information, to donate or volunteer with the program, please contact Murray Dabby at 404-634-4645, or murray@atlallstars.org. Atlanta All Stars can be found online at www.atlallstars.org where you can view photos and film from various events.
