New York Talent Show Network Closes Out the Year With a Bang in Brooklyn!

Veteran dance group The Grand March strike the final pose of the Flashdance routine that helped them win the Grand Prize at the most recent All Stars Project of New York talent show.

The All Stars Project of New York, All Stars Talent Show Network (the ASP of NY, ASTSN) ended the year with a big bang in Brooklyn! The final show of 2008 at Thomas Jefferson High School drew incredible numbers. Nearly twelve hundred people filled the auditorium to cheer on the 160 young performers who graced the stage with their high-energy routines. Costumes were vibrant and creative, as were the performances themselves: two groups walked away as the Grand Prize winners!

The performances were not only exciting onstage, but off the stage as well.  The audience members, crossing generational lines, showed great support and enthusiasm for all of those performing in the show, creating a hugely positive atmosphere in the Brownsville/East New York community.

To kick off 2009, the All Stars Talent Show Network is headed to the Bronx. Outreach for the January 31st audition is set to begin in December.  To join the community outreach team, contact Kathy Fiess, the All Stars Talent Show Network volunteer coordinator, at (212) 356-8444 or kfiess@allstars.org.  For more information about the audition, contact April Dae Rochon at (212) 356-8447 or arochon@allstars.org.
