The Development School for Youth programs at the All Stars Project of New York and of New Jersey had very strong semesters this fall.
On Monday, November 24th at a ceremony hosted by Credit Suisse, 40 students representing all five boroughs of New York City and 30 different schools, graduated as part of the 24th class of the All Stars Project of New York, Joseph A. Forgione Development School for Youth (ASP of NY, JAF DSY). Across the river, the ASP of New Jersey, Development School for Youth graduated over 70 young people from Newark, East Orange, Irvington and other areas of New Jersey on December 9th.
Over the course of the last couple months, the graduates from both New York and New Jersey participated in workshops at companies including Ernst & Young, MetLife, JP Morgan Chase and Latham & Watkins and developed their professional performances. They also received “cosmopolitanizing” experiences by going on golf club outings and museum visits. They are all excited to continue growing, and are especially looking forward to beginning their internships this summer.
Planning for the spring 2009 semester is well underway and the new classes in New York and New Jersey will officially kick off their new semesters in February.
