The All Stars Project of the San Francisco Bay Area (ASP of SF Bay Area) brings innovative, performance-based development opportunities to youth throughout the Bay Area's poorest neighborhoods. All Stars' after-school programs support young people to grow as leaders and builders of their communities and to see new possibilities for their lives.

ASP of SF was launched in Oakland in 2002 and expanded into San Francisco in 2008. The All Stars has since reached thousands of young people across the San Francisco Bay Area, including East and West Oakland, Visitacion Valley, Bayview/Hunters Point, the Mission, Daly City, Fremont and San Jose. By using performance as a tool for growth, All Stars provides young people the opportunity to develop as learners and performers, onstage and off. 

ASP of SF Bay Area office is headquartered in the historic Flood Building in the heart of downtown San Francisco on Market Street, half a block from the Powell Street BART and MUNI stations.

The All Stars Talent Show Network (ASTSN) gives young people ages 5-25 and of all talent levels the chance to produce and perform in hip-hop talent shows in their neighborhoods, and begin to create new possibilities for themselves and their communities. Prior to the talent show, young people participate in an audition and performance workshop. Recent talent shows were held at John O'Connell High School in the Mission; Everett Middle School in the Mission; Visitacion Valley Middle School; the Bayview Opera House and Thurgood Marshall High School in Bayview.

The Development School for Youth (DSY)

connects inner-city young people with the business community through workshops and paid summer internships in partnership with corporate executives. The DSY exposes SF Bay Area's youth to people and places outside of their neighborhoods and helps them learn new performances to navigate the broader world.  DSY's corporate partners in the San Francisco Bay Area include Latham & Watkins, TM Financial Forensics, MetLife, Advent Software, FTI Consulting, Grosvenor Americas, Guidepost Solutions, RGB Spectrum, Runa, Inc, Deloitte, LexisNexis, Murphy Burr Curry, and Trepel, Greenfield, Sullivan & Draa. These and other companies sponsor leadership training workshops and paid summer internships for DSY graduates. Approximately, 20 DSY graduates are placed in summer internships each year in the SF Bay Area.

Talented Volunteers is All Stars' award-winning volunteer program. Youth and adults from all over the Bay Area have opportunities to volunteer. They get involved in many aspects of All Stars Project programs and operations, including staffing neighborhood auditions and talent shows, producing special events, participating in grassroots youth outreach, fundraising, and helping out in our downtown office. Volunteers attend an orientation and volunteer opportunities are flexible.

ASP of SF Bay Area is 100% privately-funded, which guarantees our ability to provide the Bay Area's inner-city youth with innovative programming and development opportunities.  Individual and corporate donors are active partners, often directly connecting with our young people.

The All Stars Project of the San Francisco Bay Area Advisory Committee of local business leaders and philanthropists are committed to inner-city youth development. This leadership committee fosters the growth of ASP of SF Bay Area through personal and corporate giving, reaching out to their networks to bring additional resources to the organization, leading fundraising initiatives and supporting the young people through direct program involvement.  Members include Andrew S.
