A thought bubble to open minds to the poetic arts, freeing the creative writing muse that is natural part of being.  If you are interested in advancing your creative writing skills, join Newark denizen Tamam Moncur, author of "Diary of an Inner City Teacher" in a two session experience designed to tap into that creative you.  All that's needed is a pen/pencil, notebook, an open mind and a willing spirit.  Participants should attend both sessions.

Audition and Performance Workshop

Young people in the ASTSN perform as rappers, singers, poets, dancers and more; they also learn how to organize the productions, performing as ushers, ticket sellers, box office staff, spokespersons, stagehands and managers, as well as technical and security staff.  ASTSN auditions, performance workshops and shows take place on Saturday afternoons at local high school auditoriums or organizations throughout the New Jersey area.

All Stars Project, Boys & Girls Club Newark and Newark Yoga Movement are excited to come together and offer yoga for Spring semester of UX.  Yoga has been one of the most popular courses because it is for everyone.  Want some tools to be more relaxed, more focused, more flexible, a bit stronger?  These are just some of the great things you'll learn during our three-week course being held at BGCN Avon Avenue Clubhouse.  If you can breathe, you can do yoga.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Your yoga guide will be a teacher from Newark Yoga Movement, a 501c3 nonprofit that brings yoga to thousands of children, teachers and parents in Newark.

Yoga mat not required but please bring one if you have one or a large towel as well as a water bottle. Please wear loose comfortable clothing.
